Tuition Increase
Rate increases will go in effect 2/4/2019. My rates have been the same since 2009. In order for me to continue and keep up with the rising cost of living, my rate will increase by $10 per week per child.
Trips
We have been invited with another family child care group to Universoul circus.. Please let me know if you would like to attend. Majority rules.
Other trips in mind are Childrens Museum
Washington Farms ( when weather is warmer)
Fern bank Museum
Catch Air
Curriculum:
We will continue to work on letter sounds and introduce sounding out simple family words and recognizing sight words. We will work on number sense, 1 to 1 correspondence, directionality, building small and gross motor skills, vocabulary, Winter animals, and hibernation and more..
Lateness
Please, if you are coming in later than your usual time in the mornings please give me a courtesy call. It will help me in preparation for the day. If you are picking up late please give me a courtesy call or text as well.
Breakfast
I would like to have breakfast over by at least 9:00 the latest 9:30 so we can start circle time. If you are coming later than that time, please have your child eat before they arrive. It interrupts the flow of the morning as well and throws scheduling off. When the other children sees someone else eating it forms a ripple effect . Not only that your child is missing out from the morning activity.
Toys
It is very hard for me to keep track of outside toys. And again it becomes a fight so plleeeease try to keep them home. I will allow Friday share for show and tell if requested.
Part Time Scheduling
Please let me know your scheduled times that you will bring your child in advance. This will help me with planning activities as well as meals. Also note that Full timers may supersede part time availability.
Attendance
Please make sure sign in the morning and out in the afternoon. ( I will do better :) ) Please give a courtesy call or text if you will be late or absent.

After School Screen Time Policy
Children will be allowed to use tablets and phones for H.W. and Educational Games only. After HW use, children will be given a 1 hour screen time limit . We have various card and board games as well as arts and crafts children can participate in. If possible I would suggest parental controls on Tablets and phones . Phone calls, texting and face time with friends are not allowed during program hours. Nor are violent games or videos such as Fortnite, etc. Please discuss this with your child/children so they are aware of this policy. If rules for tablets are not adhered too, Their device will be confiscated and returned to parent at end of day
Research confirms screen time is hurting children’s school performance
Here’s a finding that will give parents pause: The more time kids spend on their smartphones, the more likely they are to skip their homework.
In a new study, researchers at the American Academy of Pediatrics found a correlation between the time school-aged children spent watching TV, playing videogames, and using computers, tablets, and smartphones with an increased likelihood of not completing their homework assignment
