 Greetings!

I hope you had a great month of May and that June is even greater! This particular Newsletter is a work in progress but I needed to get some information to you as soon as possible. 

The children are growing and progressing at a fine pace. Their vocabulary is expanding and their little independent personalities are peeking. They are so bright and funny!

We have been learning some new songs, a few in Spanish and a some sign language.  We are working on number sense , looking at what is less and what is more and different ways to make ( or add) a number.

We are working in our phonics books. Becoming solid in our consonant and vowel sounds, distinguishing the difference and sounding out words.  We are also working on story comprehension and penmanship.

In science we are making observations and discoveries, learning about insects and animals.In Social Studies we are learning about careers, the states and the world around us.

I will close June 5 - 9 to have repairs done on my bathroom. You are not required to pay me unless you are using Ms Chevanese .  She is available for the week.  I can pop in and out over there if you decide to use her. Just let me know.

Stepping Up Day will be postponed

Due to the work being done on the bathroom, I will have to push back our Stepping up day about 2 or 3 weeks. Tentatively I am looking at June 23rd.  Please tell me how that works for you.

I would like to order cap and gowns and sashes.  I will get back to you in terms of price. but I think the cap and gown price is around $20.00

These are just thoughts for trips.  Please let me know if you have anymore suggestions.  I will update dates and prices at a later time.



Pictures
I would love to do a picture day when we get back.  Let us schedule it for Wednesday June 14th.  Dress the children up in their finest clothes and I will do my best to take great shots :)



Breakfast
 I would like to have breakfast over by at least 9:00 the latest 9:30 so we can start circle time.  If you are coming later than that time..Please have your child eat before they arrive.  It interrupts the flow of the morning as well  and throws scheduling off. When the other children see someone else eating it forms a ripple effect .  Not only that your child is missing out from the morning activity.
